We have just had an incredible morning at our first 6th Form Conference. We held it at St. Nick’s church in the city centre and welcomed Year 12 students from 4 schools to hear from a variety of speakers on arguments for the existence of God. Stuart Burgess gave a brilliant talk on the Design Argument, which provoked excellent questions from lots of deep thinking students who felt able to ask questions and to disagree. We then heard from a diverse panel of Christians on the different reasons why they believe in God, again with some brilliant questions and conversations. Many students and teachers said it was "helpful to hear from real religious people with personal experiences rather than just from a textbook."

There was a real buzz in the room and we hope it has enriched the students’ learning and given them things to think about further. We are so thankful to everyone who took part and we are already looking forward to our next conference in October!
