OUR ETHOS

Encounter Christianity is a Bristol based charity, aimed at enriching the religious education of local pupils by bringing the Christian faith to life within the classroom.

Our sessions contain engaging, dynamic and interactive activities that encourage a thoughtful, questioning approach to RE. We strive to provide a positive encounter with Christians who can share personal experiences of living out their faith.

Our primary lessons are all in line with the Locally Agreed Syllabus for RE or the Understanding Christianity syllabus and we work closely with secondary schools to develop sessions in line with their curriculum.

At Encounter Christianity, we welcome pupils of all faiths and none and seek to value and respect each one’s beliefs. We aim to offer an enjoyable and informative educational experience. It is not our aim to convert learners, or seek to impose on them any particular beliefs.

Children developed a much stronger understanding and recall of the stories of Jesus’ miracles. It was very accessible. The children were all really excited and engaged in the stories. We thoroughly enjoy this session and how much the children learn from it. Thank you so much.
